This site tracks the post-ban Modern metagame (window 2026-05-19 → 2026-08-23): 5222 decklists across 76 archetypes from 136 tournaments. It rebuilds automatically every night around 03:30 Europe/Oslo from fresh tournament data.
Win-rate methodology
- MTGO: unbiased Top-32-vs-Top-32 — only matches where both players have a published decklist are counted, which avoids the survivorship bias of counting a Top-32 deck's wins against unknown opponents.
- Paper: full round-by-round pairings from melee.gg and topdeck.gg, with archetypes assigned per player by a Naive Bayes archetype classifier (NBAC).
- Mirrors are excluded from matchup win rates. Draws count in neither wins nor losses.
- Matchup cells show combined MTGO + paper matches; cells with fewer than 5 matches are hidden, 5–14 matches are rendered semi-transparent (low confidence).
- The matchup grid shows the 20 most-played archetypes; everything else is aggregated as Other.
Inclusion rules
- Only tournaments after the Modern bans of May 19, 2026.
- MTGO Challenges/Qualifiers with ≥20 players (Preliminaries/Leagues excluded — no per-match data). Paper events need published decklists and round results.
- Archetype labels come from the NBAC classifier, not self-reported labels.
